Add to album

This earthenware vase was made by Peter Gardner's Dunmore Pottery in Falkirk district.

The glazed vase has a long thin cylindrical neck which swells out to form a bulbous body.

Peter Gardner took over his father's small redware pottery in 1860 and immediately began to develop new ranges of fashionable wares. The pottery was supported by the local landowners the Earl and Countess of Dunmore.
