'Glass Form'

This 'Glass Form' was made at the Royal College of Art in London in 1971 by Sam Herman.

The form is made of clear yellowish glass and opaque yellow glass with applied decoration of translucent streaky blue and grey glass. It has the wheel-engraved mark 'Samuel I Herman 1971 London'.

American Sam Herman came to Britain in 1969 and taught at the Royal College of Art. He opened the Glasshouse in the early 1970s and founded the New Wave Movement in Australia in the late 1970s.
