The pattern is called 'TRIUMPHAL CAR'. The tureen interior and lid are decorated with classical scenes which include chariots and horses. The base is inscribed 'TRIUMPHAL CAR' above the initials 'J & M P B & Co'.
This was one of Bell's most popular and enduring patterns and was made in a number of different versions.
