Verreville Tea ServiceThis porcelain or bone china tea service or teas set was made by the Verreville Pottery in Glasgow. It dates from the 19th century. The set consists of a teapot, a sugar bowl (with lid), a cream jug, a slop bowl and six cups and saucers. By the middle of the 19th century, the area of Glasgow and the Clyde basin was undoubtedly the heartland of the Scottish pottery industry, with several of the biggest firms such as J. & M. P.
