Add to albumThese two decorative iron rosettes were made by the Edinburgh ironworks firm of Thomas Hadden. They date from the late 19th or early 20th century.
Each black painted rosette has eleven petals.
Important commissions were vital for firms like Hadden's who opened for business in 1901 at Silvermills Lane in Edinburgh. Work would be ordered by architects and private customers.
