Mug (2 of 2)This shows the front of a porcelain mug, thought to have been made at the Verreville Pottery in Glasgow. The mug dates from the mid 19th century. The painted mountain landscape with water and buildings is contained within a heart-shaped panel flanked by formal foliage in gold. Verreville means glass town and emphasises that the firm originally produced glass as well as pottery. Record detailsTo search on related items, click any linked text below.
