This glass mug with sand-blasted view of Abbotsford House was made around 1875 by J. Ford & Co. of Edinburgh.

Abbotsford was the home of Sir Walter Scott. At Abbotsford Scott tried to create a romantic 'Medieval' castle, drawing on all his interests in Scottish history.
