Colour woodblock print, ukiyo-e

Triptych in album of 105 prints. Hiroshige and Kunisada collaborated on this print from the series Ima-yo genji Rojakko (Modern Gengi comparison of old age and youth). It is signed Toyokuni and Hiroshige, engraved by Sennosuke, censored aratame.

This tryptych is titled Yoshino-Yama in Yamato Province. The area is known for its cherry blossoms and Prince Gengi and his ladies are having a picnic under the blossoms. The figures are done by Kunisada, the temple and pines by Hiroshige.
