Add to albumThis silver tea set was made in 1879-80 by S. Gordon Guild, a silversmith in Edinburgh. It consists of a teapot, a sugar basin and a cream jug.
The body of each piece is divided into six panels. The decoration in the panels includes a Chinaman in a garden, a diving bird, a Chinaman beside a pagoda and a bird standing on one leg.
