CelloThis wooden cello was made in 1823 by Mathew Hardie & Son, an Edinburgh firm which produced many musical instruments. Hardie himself was known as the 'Scottish Stradivarius'. Cello made by Mathew Hardie & Son of Edinburgh, 1823 Antonio Stradivari (1644-1737) was an Italian violin maker. Violins manufactured by him or his family were known as 'Stradivarius' models.
