Folding fan with single fine goat skin leaf, mounted a l'Anglaise with carved and pierced ivory sticks and guards, painted and with gold pique.

Painted in gouache with a king presenting a gold cup to a young couple in a chariot, welcoming them into the family.

The subject refers to a royal marriage and the fan may have been presented to a royal couple.
