BowlThis porcelain bowl was made around 1770 probably by William Littler at West Pans in East Lothian. The bowl has eight panelled sides and is set on a simple ring foot. It is over-glaze painted with flowers and under-glaze washed with rosettes. From 1750 onwards, large-scale potteries were established on the south side of the Firth of Forth, at Prestonpans, Prestongrange, West Pans, Musselburgh and Portobello.
