Cup & saucerThis bone china cup and saucer were made by the Glasgow potters, J. & M.P. Bell & Company. They date from between 1842 and 1880. The cup and saucer have a turquoise glaze decorated with a hand-painted gold and black band with narcissi, foliage and white buds. This company, which became one of the biggest and best known potteries in Scotland, was founded by the brothers John and Matthew Perston Bell and was in production by 1842.
