Egg-cup
This egg-cup was designed by Jorma Vennola in 1978 and made in 1979 by the Iittala Glassworks in Finland.
The egg-cup is made of clear colourless moulded glass and is in the form of a stylised chicken. The design is called 'Tin'.
Since the end of World War II, the national design organisations of Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark have collaborated with joint exhibitions and prizes to promote modern functional design. This resulted in a characteristic 'Scandinavian Style' which was a major influence on world taste.
