This earthenware bottle with a green glaze, comes from Persia and dates to the early 17th century.
The bottle has a green glaze, flattened sides and a narrow neck. On the side is a low moulded relief depicting a kneeling turbaned man on the left, watching a dancer in a garden setting. Images such as this one were borrowed from contemporary miniature paintings.
