Bowl

This bowl of stone-paste fritware was made in Persia and dates to the 13th century.

The bowl has almost straight sides. The interior is decorated under glaze with radiating panels in blue and black containing Arabic inscriptions of a probably benedictory nature. The exterior is painted with leafy sprays.
