This woman's white cotton dress and fabric was designed in 1968 by Vuokko Eskolin-Nurmesniemi of Helsinki in Finland.

The dress has a very large circular design printed in bright scarlet.

The dress is typical of the spare cut and simple design used by Finnish designers in the 1960s and 1970s. Natural fibres were also popular with them at at time when most other clothes had a high synthetic fibre content.
