KnifeThis 16th or 17th century knife was found in the rubble in the basement of Cramalt South Tower in Meggetland in Selkirkshire. The tang - the projecting point which fits into the knife handle - has impressions of a textile binding. Knives like this were carried around by individuals for use when eating.
