Chair

This walnut chair is characteristic of the 1730s. Almost every part of the frame was carved in a sinuous bend. The trefoil feet may indicate an Irish origin. It was used in a house in Edinburgh during the 20th century.

The damask upholstery probably dates from the early 20th century.
