This transfer-printed earthenware sauce boat was made by the Britannia Pottery Company Limited of Glasgow. It dates from around 1920.
The pattern is called 'MOYEN'. The sauce boat has a large pouring lip and a double scroll handle with a thumb piece.
James Fleming became managing partner of the Britannia Pottery and from 1896, it was known as Cochran and Fleming. James's son Arnold J Fleming took over as sole partner in 1911 until he sold it to the Britannia Pottery Company Ltd in 1920.
