Charm (copy)

This is a copy of a charm made from a cross of wood from a rowan tree. It is bound with knotless red thread.

Rowan was traditionally considered to have the power to protect from witchcraft and evil spirits. Knots in the thread would reduce its potency. The cross would be worn inside the clothing or hidden in the lining.
