made at Bo'ness, Falkirk district
This earthenware ashet was made between around 1840 and 1850 at James Jamieson & Co.'s pottery at Bo'ness in Falkirk district.
The ashet is transfer-printed in green with a pattern featuring a view of Edinburgh from Calton Hill.
James Jamieson & Co produced a series of very fine transfer printed designs called 'Modern Athens', showing different landmarks in the 'Athens of the North' (Edinburgh).
