Earthenware ewer with a marbled glazeThis earthenware ewer was made by the Glasgow potters J. and M.P. Bell around 1851. Earthenware ewer, exhibited at the Great Exhibition, 1851, made by J. and M.P. Bell and Co., Glasgow John and Matthew Perston Bell's company became one of the biggest and best-known potteries in Scotland.
