KnifeThis iron knife blade from the royal hillfort site of Dunadd in Argyll probably dates from the 6th or 7th century. It could have been used to cut food or for other purposes. The small knife blade is complete. It has a tang for fixing it to an organic handle. The tang has a central, rectangular section. The blade has been reduced by whetting.
