Wooden container made from the roof timbers of Doune Castle

This wooden container is made from the roof timbers of Doune Castle in Stirlingshire. It dates from the second half of the 19th century.

The container has an applied photograph of Doune Castle on the front of the lid and a hole in the back of the lid, possibly for thread.
