RecordFragment of a glass bottle< 1 of 1 > Back From Traprain Law, East Lothian
Fragment of a glass bottleThis fragment of a glass bottle was found at the native hillfort settlement of Traprain Law in East Lothian. It is a quality Roman object, one of a number found there, acquired by gift or trade sometime between 80 and 200 AD. The bottle was made of clear green glass. The large, defended hillfort at Traprain Law was an important site in Iron Age Scotland. A large number of Roman and native objects have been found from there, showing that the native population prospered in its contacts with the Romans.
