This beggar's badge is from Edinburgh. It is made of brass and dates from the early 19th century.
The front of the circular badge has a crown and below this 'Edinr. 331'. On one side of the crown is the letter 'W'', on the other an 'R' (for Willelmus Rex). The badge bears the name of the holder, James Robertson'. There are four perforations.
