Communion token (Obverse), of Edinburgh Gaelic ChapelCommunion tokens were used to admit parishioners to Communion in the Scottish Presbyterian Church during the 18th and 19th centuries. This is the obverse of a metal communion token issued by the Edinburgh Gaelic Chapel in 1775. Round communion token of Edinburgh Gaelic Chapel, 1775 Communion tokens were given out by church elders in the days of preparation before the communion service.
