Fashion plate, from The QueenThis hand-coloured fashion plate is from The Queen, a monthly magazine published in London. The plate illustrates women's and girl's wear and is dated 1 November, 1879. The lady on the right is wearing and outdoor day dress and a hat. The one in the centre is wearing an evening dress with a train. In 1862 The Queen was taken over by William Edward Cox who introduced a stronger fashion element into the magazine.
