Ewer, associated with the Robertsons of Strowan
This porcelain ewer is decorated with the crest, coat-of-arms and motto of the Robertson family of Strowan. It was made in China in the second half of the 18th century.
The ewer and lid are ornamented with gold and black floral spray decoration. The coat-of-arms is at the front of the ewer. The Latin motto above the arms reads: 'Virtutis, Glorie, Merces'.
