Silver presentation spoonThis silver presentation spoon, dated 1904-5 with Edinburgh hallmarks, was probably made by David McGregor & Co of Perth. It shows the popularity of Celtic Revival style decoration, which was particularly strong in the east of Scotland. The back is inscribed, 'LKB FROM JB B-M MURIE 15th Oct. 1904'. An 1784 act required every silversmith in Scotland to send his wares to Edinburgh for marking.
