Silver medal (reverse) of Benjamin Mackay's Latin Academy, Edinburgh

This is the reverse of a silver medal of Benjamin Mackay's Latin Academy in Edinburgh. The medal was made by Edinburgh silversmiths W. & P. Cunningham and awarded to William Seller in 1814.

The reverse has a Latin inscription, which relates that William Seller was given the medal for merit in Latin and Greek literature.

William Seller later became a lecturer in Materia Medica at the University of Edinburgh.
