Circular iron tripod stand from Carlingwark Loch
The Carlingwark hoard contained a mixture of tools, a few weapons, some high quality native craftwork and a few Roman objects, including this example. It was placed in a bronze cauldron, then cast into the loch, probably as a sacrifice to the gods.
