Bronze bracelet found in AberdeenshireThis bronze bracelet is part of a hoard comprising neck rings, bracelets, linked rings and a razor found at the Braes of Gight in Aberdeenshire. It was probably made on the Continent, perhaps imported to Scotland via northern France and southern England. Six examples of this penannular bracelet with out-turned terminals were found in the hoard. Elsewhere in Scotland they have been found in hoards from the Northeast. The Braes of Gight hoard demonstrates how wide ranging were the contacts between the elite of Scotland and the outside world at this time.
