CupThis three-handled earthenware cup, also known as a 'tyg' was made by the Cumnock Pottery in Ayrshire. It dates from the second half of the 19th century. The motto on the side of the cup reads 'Contented wi' little and canty (happy) wi' mair'. A pottery was originally established in Cumnock by James Taylor in 1792.
