This agateware butter dish dates from 1892 and is probably from Seaton Pottery in Aberdeen.

The butter dish is made of brown and white clays with a pale amber glaze. It is inscribed 'Mrs Morrison 1892'.

Seaton Pottery operated between 1868 and 1964 and left a wealth of distinctive wares.
