Add to albumThis silver and enamel hairbrush and mirror set was designed by Jessie M. King and made for Liberty and Company in London in 1911. The set consists of two hairbrushes and a mirror.
The two hairbrushes and the mirror all have oval shaped heads with elongated 'tear-drop' handles. The backs and handles are raised and enamelled.
Jessie M. King (1875-1949) attended Glasgow School of Art which, by the end of the 19th century, was central to the development of female artistic talent in Scotland.
