found at Broughty Ferry, Dundee
Add to albumThis gold finger ring was found in the ruins of a cottage at Broughty Ferry in Dundee. It dates from the mid 15th century.
The iconographic ring has a centrally-ridged bezel engraved with the Madonna and Child and an ecclesiastic. The figures are reserved in metal against a black enamel background and the band is ornamented with enamelled stripes.
