Arrowhead

This iron bolt for a crossbow was found at Kindrochit Castle at Braemar in Aberdeenshire. It dates from between the 13th and 15th century and would have been used for hunting.

One of the arrowhead's barbs has broken off.

In medieval times, there was a royal hunting lodge at Kindrochit.
