This chain of white metal oval links is said to be associated with Keir Hardie (1856-1915) and his family.
The chain is held together by a single circular split ring.
James Keir Hardie was a key founder of the labour movement. He was elected as the Independent Labour Member of Parliament for South West Ham in 1892 and later became chairman of the Independent Labour Party.
