Silver salver made in Glasgow

A salver is a slightly concave dish for displaying food on the table. This silver example, dated 1896-7, was made in Glasgow by James Forrest.

The salver is chased and engraved with 'celtic' designs in the centre and classical motifs on the raised edge.
