SpoonThis silver spoon was made between 1611 and 1613 by Gilbert Kirkwood, an Edinburgh silversmith. It is known as a disc-end spoon from the pattern at the end of the stem. The spoon has a circular disc at the top of the stem. The disc is inscribed with the initials 'ISM'. Scottish-made spoons of the 16th and early 17th century are rare.
