The model was made by Twining Models Ltd., Northampton. Made of wood and metal, the model was made by Twining Models Ltd., Northampton, at a scale of 1:1. William Murdoch, 1754-1839, designed a model steam powered carriage whilst working as an engine erector for James Watt and Matthew Boulton.
