This morale boosting poster was published by The Ministry of Supply during World War II. It reads 'The work we're doing now will help to mass produce penicillin urgently needed to heal our wounded'.

This poster depicts orderlies and a wounded soldier. It was printed for H.M. Stationery Office by Multi Machine Plates Ltd, London.

Sir Alexander Fleming, 1881-1955, contributed to the discovery of penicillin. Howard Florey and Ernst Boris Chain finally developed penicillin as an effective antibiotic through intensive research in Oxford. This saved thousand of lives during World War II.
