Tricycle, 'Coventry Rotary'

This tricycle was made in Coventry in England by the Coventry Machinists Co. Ltd. It dates from around 1884. It was derived from a failed attempt to make a ladies' version of a high bicycle. The type was popular with photographers, fishermen and tourists for the ability to carry loads on the side tube. The model name is 'Coventry Rotary'.
