Silver spoon known as the 'Cunningham seal-top'
Add to album

This silver spoon was made by William Cok, a goldsmith in Edinburgh in 1573.

The spoon has a fig-shaped bowl and a seal-top handle. The stamps on the stem are marks identifying the maker, his town, and Adam Craig, Deacon of the Incorporation of Goldsmiths.

The spoon was probably owned by Hugh Cunningham of Watterstoun, third son of the third Earl of Glencairn.
