Bronze spearheadThis bronze spearhead was found on the Black Isle in Ross and Cromarty. It was used on a throwing spear sometime between 1750 and 1450 BC. The socket of the spearhead is damaged at the base and cracked across the centre. Half way down the socket are two loops, one of which is broken. Spears were used both for fighting and for hunting.
