Axehead
This massive bronze axehead was found at Lawhead in Lanarkshire. It is much larger than normal-sized bronze axeheads, and must have been a conspicuous status symbol.

Massive axeheads, far bigger and better than ordinary axeheads, were one form of conspicuous consumption during the early Bronze Age.
