LampThis sandstone lamp was found at Skirza Broch in Caithness. It was used to provide light inside the broch, sometime between 200 BC and 400 AD. The oval-shaped lamp has an oval depression carved at the top, with another oval, but slightly less deep depression, at one end. Early lamps were generally carved from stone.
