From Blackhaugh, Roxburghshire
This flint knife from Blackhaugh in Roxburghshire dates from between 3400 and 2000 BC. It is not sharp-edged and may have been used as a skinning knife or to scrape fat from a hide. It may well have been imported to Scotland, perhaps from Yorkshire.
The discordial knife of dark grey flint has a ground edge.
